UCD School of Computer Science Summer School 2019



Do you ever wonder how Google, Skype, Internet banking or computer games work? Would you like to develop the next generation of cutting-edge computing technologies? Then our Computer Science Summer School is for you.

What happens on the day?

All sessions will take place in our state-of-the-art active learning laboratory in the UCD School of Computer Science where you will work in teams and have the opportunity to learn how to program and attend a range of range of presentations and interactive demonstrations on modern computer science topics.

Who can apply?

The Summer School is for students who have just completed 5th Year and are going into 6th year or Year 13 (A Level) in September 2019.

What does it cost?

The UCD Computer Science Summer School costs €35 and includes a hot lunch and tea/coffee. A reduced rate of €15 is available for applicants whose families are in receipt of job-seekers or disability payments. If you wish to avail of this discount rate please email Kathy.L.Murphy@ucd.ie for a discount code before booking your course.

Do I need to bring anything?

If you have a laptop, please bring it with you. If not, don’t worry we will provide you with one.

The UCD Computer Science Summer School will take place in the UCD Computer Science. The UCD Computer Science & Informatics Centre is building number 17 on the UCD Map
